New Game Business Event presented by Nikkei BP's Game Media Debuts in March 2027!
Nikkei Gaming has launched in July 2025 as a rare, business-focused media outlet—a distinctive presence both in Japan and internationally. Since then, we have provided essential insights into the latest industry trends, business strategies, and technological advancements, serving not only the gaming industry but also professionals from diverse sectors engaged with the gaming world. In 2027, Nikkei Gaming embarks on a new challenge: the game business event, GLGa2027.
GLGa2027 is a stay-over event where exhibitors and visitors gather in a single space to foster deep interaction and business negotiations. It serves as a premier networking hub for B2B companies specializing in game development, cloud technology, and marketing support, as well as for enterprises seeking new entry into the gaming industry.
For indie studios and individual developers, we envision this event as a vital "stepping stone" toward major milestones, such as "Selected Indie 80" at TOKYO GAME SHOW—a prestigious program where only 80 developers are chosen from over 1,000 applicants. In addition, we are planning a series of high-value business seminars designed to benefit all participants.
Our goal is to contribute to the further growth of the gaming industry by launching this business-centric event—the first of its kind in Japan—in collaboration with local communities.
