The Longest
Five Days
of Nonstop Play

Tokyo Game Show is stepping into a new stage this year.
A place where games and people from around the world come together
—to play, connect, and imagine the future beyond age and borders.
In 2026, the stage expands to the longest run in TGS history:
five full days.
With more games, more energy, and a bigger scale than ever before,
a show where you can fully immerse yourself in games is about to begin.

Concept and Outline

TOKYO GAME SHOW has always been bustling with visitors on both Business Day and Public Day. However, when asked whether all attendees were satisfied, we cannot answer with a 100% "YES." There are various factors, one of which is "creating opportunities for visitors to try out games."

While Business Day attendance has been increasing annually, Public Day sometimes see nearly 100,000 visitors per day. This often limits the number of games available to try, resulting in many visitors being unable to play their desired titles. In today's game industry marketing, allowing visitors to play developed titles is crucial—not just for AAA titles or indie games—and is indispensable for forecasting future sales and planning development activities.
Therefore, TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026 will add one more Public Day, extending the event to a record five days. While this addresses crowd management, the primary goal is to create a schedule allowing as many attendees as possible to enjoy the TOKYO GAME SHOW. We aim to enhance satisfaction for game fans worldwide. We are also considering introducing new ticket options for both Business Day and Public Day, striving to make TOKYO GAME SHOW a more valuable event for industry professionals and fans globally.

While we anticipate nearly 300,000 visitors this year, TOKYO GAME SHOW remains fundamentally an event platform. Its content is undeniably shaped by our exhibitors. No matter how many people attend, the event's value is halved without rich content.
This year, we will continue our diverse promotional efforts both domestically and internationally. TOKYO GAME SHOW will work as one to deliver a wide variety of content from around the world to you. We sincerely hope you will consider exhibiting.
