深層学習（ディープラーニング）および汎用人工知能（AGI）に関する先駆的研究で知られる、世界的に著名なAI（人工知能）研究者・著者・ソフトウエアエンジニア。米Google（グーグル）の研究者として、世界で最も広く使われる深層学習フレームワークの一つである「Keras」を開発し、数百万人のユーザーに対してAI開発を民主化するのに大きく貢献。ベストセラー『Deep Learning with Python』の著者。ソフトウエアの枠を超え、知能の測定に関する第一人者としても発信。論文「On the Measure of Intelligence」を執筆し、AIが未知の問題を解く能力を検証するベンチマーク「ARC-AGI（Abstraction and Reasoning Corpus）」を作成。これは人間のような知能の実現に向けた重要な一歩だった。 現在は、AGIへの進展を加速することを目的とする非営利団体「ARC Prize Foundation」の共同創業者であり、AGI研究ラボである米Ndeaの共同創業者。
François Chollet is a world-renowned artificial intelligence researcher, author, and software engineer known for his pioneering work in deep learning and artificial general intelligence (AGI). As a researcher at Google, he created Keras, one of the world's most widely used deep learning frameworks, which has been instrumental in democratizing AI development for millions of users. He is also the author of the best-selling book Deep Learning with Python. Beyond software, Chollet is a leading voice on the measurement of intelligence. He authored the "On the Measure of Intelligence" paper and created the ARC-AGI (Abstraction and Reasoning Corpus), a benchmark designed to test an AI’s ability to solve novel problems—a key step toward achieving human-like intelligence.
